We use some of the most capable AI models available to create each personalised story, with a strong focus on image quality, character consistency and storytelling.

For each story, we generate 10 illustrated scenes plus a cover, run the story through multiple rounds of generation and alignment to improve its flow and consistency, and create narration so you can read or listen to the story on your devices.

A complete personalised story costs around $2.

Creating a new character — a person or pet based on your photo — costs around $0.30. You only create that character once. After that, you can reuse them across as many stories as you like at no additional character cost.

Credits are purchased in packs:

• $2.99 — enough for around 1 story with a small cast
• $6.99 — around 3 stories
• $14.99 — around 7 stories

Inside the app, a story costs 14 credits and a new character costs 2 credits. Credits never expire, and there are no subscriptions or automatic renewals.

You can also turn your stories into real books. Printed hardcover books start from £14.99, plus delivery. The final price depends on the number of pages, and you’ll see the full cost — including delivery and in your local currency — before you order.

A worked example: three stories bound as one 40-page hardcover comes to about $23 — roughly $6 of credits to write and illustrate them, and $16.99 for the book itself — plus delivery. The book half is charged in your own currency, so the exact total depends on where it is going.

No. Nothing renews, nothing bills you monthly, and there is no plan to be on. You top up when you want to make something, that balance doesn’t expire, and a printed book is a one-off order. If you make one story a year, you pay for one story.

That ~$2 pays for the making: every story is written, illustrated and narrated for your child specifically, and that generation costs us real money each time. Nothing here is a template with a name dropped into it, which is why it is priced per story rather than per month.

A book’s price is the printing and binding of a single hardcover, plus our margin. Delivery is separate and passed through at what the courier charges us — we don’t mark it up, which is why the same book costs the same everywhere and only the postage differs.

A photo is used once, to draw a cartoon character. For that one request it goes to our AI provider, OpenAI, and we don’t keep the original photo in our systems afterwards. It is never used to train models, never used to advertise to you, and never turned into a faceprint or used to recognise anyone.

The cartoon character it produces is yours and stays in your library until you delete it or delete your account. The full detail, including how long a provider may hold a request, is in the privacy policy.

More than 200 countries — most places a courier goes. Every book is printed and posted from the UK, so wherever you are, it is the same book off the same press.

You choose the delivery service yourself at checkout, and each one shows its own price and how many days it takes. Delivery is charged at cost, so the further it goes the more the postage is, and the book itself never changes price. The full list of destinations is in the country picker when you order.

If a story or an illustration fails to generate, the credit goes back to your balance automatically — you never pay for something we didn’t deliver. If we take payment for a book and then can’t print or ship it, we refund the order.

Every book is printed for one child and can’t be sold to anyone else, so we can’t take one back once it’s printed simply because you changed your mind. If it arrives damaged, misprinted or not at all, tell us and we’ll reprint it or refund you.
